Spicy thai mango salad

Hey Mindfoodists,

I am back from my travels and you have many exciting posts to look forward to.

Todays recipe I made during our first week in LA. My travel buds and I decided to go for a run to our Local Trader Joe's one of things I love about America. No other store inspires me culinary like good old Trader Joe's. Maybe its the fact that they have their own line so everything is a lot less overwhelming as stores type Whole foods, and well, less expensive too, by light years.
When I was making this I did't think it would land on my blog, something that happens quite often, and I was hungry and in a rush but this was so delicious that I stopped everything I was doing to immortalise this amazing dish.

Ingredients

Trader Joe's Mango Jicama Slaw

Alternatively: Mango, Jicama, Green Cabbage, Lime Mango Vinaigrette (Water, Sugar, Expeller Pressed Canola Oil, Mango, Rice Vinegar, Distilled Vinegar, Lime Juice Concentrate, Ginger Puree, Sea Salt, Crushed Red Pepper, Garlic [Water, Garlic], Lemongrass [Lemongrass, Water, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid], Cornstarch, Xanthan Gum), Cilantro.

*Official ingredients as posted on their website. Im sure some of the ingredients could be left out or switched.

1 large romaine heart
A handful of thawed frozen mango chunks
Sprouts
1 tsp Sesame seeds
A shit ton Sriracha
1/2 Lemon
1 tsp Soy sauce
1/2 tsp Sesame oil
A dash Chill flakes

1. Chop the lettuce, mix it in with the thawed mango and the mango jicama salad.
2. Mix the dressing with the lemon juice, the child flakes, the soy sauce and the sesame oil(serving size can be adjusted according to your personal preference).
3. Pour the dressing over the salad and top it off with the sprouts, sesame and as much Sriracha as you can handle.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Check out the Mindfoodist too (menu section) for some travel posts.

Have a lovely day,
